Rooted in the teachings of Buddothpado Aryan Wahanse, our mission is to dissolve the illusions of ego and suffering, allowing the heart to blossom with loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity.
Through the message of truth, the dissolution of ego creates a Jētavanārāma within the heart, where the Buddha, free from individual identity, resides. Those who follow this path cultivate the four great virtues—loving-kindness (mettā), compassion (karunā), sympathetic joy (muditā), and equanimity (upēkkhā)—leading to the ultimate liberation of the mind, Nibbana.

The Methmal Foundation was established by Buddothpado Aryan Wahanse, inspired by the vision behind the Buddothpado main YouTube channel, which serves as a global center for sharing his profound teachings. What makes Aryan Wahanse’s teachings unique is that they embody the essence of the Lord Buddha’s wisdom, reflecting the Buddha’s teachings in a way that is second only to the Buddha himself. The Methmal Foundation acts as a platform that fully embraces and carries forward the transformative path laid out by Buddothpado Aryan Wahanse, providing practical guidance for the liberation of the mind. Our mission is to spread the teachings of the Dhamma, providing guidance and support to individuals seeking spiritual growth and inner peace, and Nibbana.
BIOGRAPHY OF BUDDOTHPADO ARYAN WAHANSE
In the absence of those endowed with profound wisdom, the absolute truth often becomes obscured, buried beneath the sands of time. Over 2,500 years ago, the Buddha illuminated this truth—the eternal Dhamma. For generations, this truth was meticulously preserved by Arhants through an unbroken oral tradition known as the Bhanaka system. Recognizing the inevitable decline of the Arhants era, these sages convened during the Fourth Buddhist Council at Aluvihara Temple in Matale, Sri Lanka, around 29–17 BCE, inscribing the sacred Tripitaka on palm leaves to safeguard the teachings for future generations.
Today, the world is once again blessed with the emergence of a luminous guide in Buddothpado Aryan Wahanse. Having devoted over 30 years to self-investigation, meditation, and an unwavering pursuit of the Dhamma in many forest Monasteries in Sri Lanka, he has attained transcendental wisdom by the meticulous and careful investigation of the very Same Tripitaka.
